Let's go Padres!!!

We treated ourselves to a day off in celebration of R's b-day, a day late because that's when the Padres were in town!

We headed to AT&T Park early so we could watch batting practice. We had very good seats, 17 rows back from the field on the right field side. Because we were so close to the field we were allowed to walk right down to the wall before the game, so we could watch all the players stretching and getting ready. After they were done they stopped by to sign autographs. We also went near the dug out to get some autographs.

We got the following autographs:

Heath Bell
Brian Giles
Chase Headley
Nick Hundley
Bud Black
Tony Gwnn Jr.
Will Venable

Theresa especially liked Will Venable because he was very nice and had a great smile, so we asked him to take a picture with her.

Theresa also had a short conversation with Bud Black, because he was very nice and asked her how she was doing.

We heard from someone else who had season tickets and got a lot of autographs that the Padres are the nicest team and give the most autographs.

To top it off, the Padres really hammered the Giants. The score was close at 4-2, but really the only time the Giants ever got anything going was in the 4th inning with a two run home run. Almost every other inning was 1-2-3. Wade LeBlanc pitched very well.

We almost made the day complete by catching a foul ball, but it went right over our heads. Oh well!

We decided we want to do this every year as the team changes. Go Padres!
