We left work early on Friday and took a 1 hour cab ride through Dublin traffic to the airport. After a 2 hour flight on Aerlingus, we arrived in Dublin, and had to take a 30 minute bus just to get to the Venice water bus station! But it was all worth it, when we crossed over the first bridge to see a Venice canal in the lights of the city. From the water bus station we hopped on a boat that took us around the island to St. Mark's Plaza and from there we found our shuttle boat to San Clemente Island where our gorgeous hotel awaited us. We checked in, were escorted to our beautiful hotel room (with vaulted ceilings!) and ordered room service to cap off the night.
